New Dried Flower Market Bunches

Dried Flower Store

OK, so this one has been a long time in the making. Yes, we've been a dried flower store forever and a day but specific dried flower market bunches have been something that we've done more as an ad-hoc thing. So as the premier destination for floral enthusiasts in Logan, Brisbane, and Gold Coast, we're thrilled to announce the arrival of our newest creations: a stunning array of simple dried flower market bunches, now available both online and in-store. Excite! Let's jump into a world where the charm of natural texture and colours, the beauty of dried white flowers and the soft allure of cotton blooms await.

OK, so why Dried Flowers and why now?

Dried flowers have made a surprising but very welcome comeback in the world of floral design, offering a unique blend of rustic charm and enduring beauty. Unlike fresh blooms, dried flowers retain their splendour indefinitely, making them a perfect choice for those seeking long-lasting option for home or even for weddings and events. We personally love them in tandem with fresh flowers in the same space, so that's why we're making these dried flower market bunches a more permanent fixture.

We've chosen a select range of single stem dried flower bunches that we believe are perfect for everyone, whether it's for yourself at home or as a gift. Even as an option for Mothers Day Flowers (yeh, cheeky plug there haha).

So let's have a look at the current range...

Billy Button Dried Flowers: Sunshine in a Bundle

We start the list off with a bright yellow bang! Envision your living room with vibrant little yellow dancing suns, seemingly as warm as our closest star, adding a pop of sunshine to any room. These cute little guys are beloved for their cheerful demeanour and playful appeal. Perfect on a tabletop or as a focal point in a decorative vase. Yellow is also seen widely as the colour of friendship and joy, what a perfect gift!

Did you know?: Billy Buttons, properly called Craspedia, are native to Australia and also New Zealand? They're often used in both fresh and dried flower arrangements as a symbolic message of good health, happiness, and prosperity.

Bunny Tail Dried Flowers: Whimsy Hippity Hop

How could we not? These delicate dancing blooms, resembling fluffy rabbit tails, really have a playful elegance. We've found them to be perfect for adding texture and visual interest to bouquets, arrangements, or wreaths. We remember seeing them growing wild in Tasmania, making us Queenslanders so jealous! The really do evoke a sense of rustic charm and natural beauty.

Did you know?: Bunny Tails, or Lagurus ovatus, are actually a part of the grass family. When they're dried they hold their delicate shape so well that they really do resemble the fluffy tails of rabbits. But yes, they are just a bunch of grass. Cute grass though.

Wheat Dried Flowers: Rustic Elegance

Remember all those still life pictures in thrift stores or Nan's kitchen? The ones with fruit, vegetables (always a pumpkin!) and a pitcher of mile or slab of butter. There almost always was some stems of wheat as a feature. No one was using full wheat to make bread, but it gave such a feeling of homeliness, comfort, charm and their own type of elegance. We love their beauty and love how they can be used as an education piece for young ones.

Did you know?: Wheat has been cultivated by humans for over 10,000 years? Wheat is truly one of our ancient grains that holds significant cultural and symbolic importance for many people. In the floristry world, dried wheat symbolises abundance, fertility, and prosperity, making it a popular choice for rustic and harvest-themed arrangements.

cotton dried flowers: dried white flowers

A real hero! Cotton Flower surprises so many people. Seeing these dried white flowers for the first time always produces a "wow!" of surprise. It truly is amazing how many of us have never known the source of so many of our textiles is the beautiful white cotton flower. Yes we chose cotton flower because of it's beauty but we couldn't overlook the wonder that this beauty evokes. Cotton flower is actually very versatile in arrangements and in vases at home. It's become a big favourite in our community with the strong dark brown stems and dried white flowers. So yeah, give it a go!

Did you know?: Humans have likely been cultivating cotton since 6000 BC! Strangely evidence of that early use has appeared in Pakistan and Mexico. Opposite sides of the planet! The cultivation and utilisation of cotton flower spread throughout ancient civilisations in the Indus Valley, Egypt, and China. It's these civilisations that were likely the first to harness the versatile properties of cotton flower fibres for textile production.
