Leather Leaf Fern (Rumohra adiantiformis) is a hardy, shade-loving fern known for its dark green, leathery fronds and long-lasting foliage.

Rumohra adiantiformis features finely divided, arching fronds with a firm, glossy texture, giving the plant a tidy, structured look. The deep green leaves have a subtle sheen and a leathery resilience that sets it apart from softer fern varieties. Its symmetrical, fan-like growth makes it an excellent choice for shaded indoor corners or as a textural backdrop in mixed plant arrangements.

Leather Leaf Fern prefers low to moderate indirect light and thrives in cool, shaded indoor spots. Water when the top few centimetres of soil are dry, keeping it lightly moist but not wet, as soggy soil may lead to root issues. It performs well in average indoor humidity and doesn’t require misting. Keep it out of direct sunlight, which can scorch the fronds, and remove any faded leaves to maintain its neat appearance.
